Div Com reviews rehabilitation of urban dislocated families | KNO

Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan today chaired a High-Level Committee (HLC) meeting to review the progress on road projects and other developmental works besides rehabilitation plan for dislocated families was also discussed.

Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Chief Engineer R&B, Superintending Engineer R&B, Commissioner SMC, Deputy Director Planning, Assistant Commissioner, Officers from R&B & SMC, dislocated families, shop-owners and other concerned were present in the meeting.

 

          In the HLC, a number of cases were taken up regarding urban dislocated families, shop-owners and shopkeepers displaced due to developmental projects like circular road project, community halls at Sheshgari mohalla and Karfalli mohalla, Zewan junction-Sempora road, Habba Kadal-Babapora road, New Habba Kadal-Gaw Kadal road via Nai Sarak.  

          Cash compensation, plots and shops were allotted on-the- spot to the bonafide urban dislocated families, shop-owners and shopkeepers.

The Divisional Commissioner directed R&B engineers to dismantle those structures immediately whose owners were already paid the compensation.

          Khan also directed engineers to ensure bottlenecks, if any, are immediately cleared for the hassle free and timely completion of all the developmental works.
